Matt started his music career releasing experimental electronic music, then began writing songs and producing records for major label artists such as Kid Cudi (2xPlatinum), Kimbra, LL Cool J, and JoJo before forming his own band The Brinks

Released by Sony Music, their song “Temporary Love” has over 55 Million streams. Songs Matt has produced or written have over 250 Million streams.

wanting to explore his music, he moved away from songwriting and into film & tv composing. A multi-instrumentalist, matt specializes in combining electronic, live and orchestral instruments into modern storytelling textures.

Recent scores include the 2023 SUNDANCE Official Selection “Mirror Party” starring Bridey Elliott & Angela Trimbur, the film “Pretty Problems” which premiered at SXSW 2022 and won the SXSW audience award for narrative spotlight, later released by IFC. Other film scores include the gritty feature thriller “Collection” directed by Marianna Palka and starring Alex Pettyfer, the film “Mother’s Little Helpers” (SXSW 2019 and Outfest 2019 official selections), the metaphysical comedy short “The Position” (SXSW 2021 official selection), “Pickled Herring” directed by and starring Milana Vayntrub, “THE RUG HUSTLER” starring Constance Zimmer directed by Russ Lamoureux, and the Sci-Fi short “After Ray” starring Sean Gunn.

He has also contributed music to many TV shows including Entourage, CSI:NY, and Everybody Hates Chris.
