Matt Friedman is a Los Angeles-based composer, producer and songwriter working across film, records, advertising and other visual media.
His work as a producer and songwriter includes music with Kid Cudi, Kimbra, LL Cool J, JoJo and Wiz Khalifa, as well as his band The Brinks, whose releases through Sony Music include “Temporary Love.” Music he has produced or written has been streamed more than 250 million times.
As a composer, Matt creates music that moves between electronic production, live instrumentation, sound design and orchestral elements. His scores include Mirror Party (Sundance 2023), Pretty Problems (SXSW 2022 Audience Award, released by IFC), Collection, Mother’s Little Helpers (SXSW 2019), The Position (SXSW 2021) and Pickled Herring. His music has also appeared in television, advertising and branded work including Entourage, CSI: NY and CeraVe’s “World of Soap” campaign with 72andSunny.
